Do You Need PCard Approval to Pay Journal Fees?

Yes, you do! Follow these steps to ensure a smooth process:

1. Submit Your Manuscript: First, submit your accepted manuscript through the E-Link submission interface. You can access it here: Accepted Manuscript Submission Wizard.
   • No Account Needed: You don’t need an account or password to access the submission tool.
2. Follow These Steps in the Submission Interface:
   • When asked, "Are you a grantee?" select 'NO'.
   • Choose 'SLAC' from the dropdown menu for the site.
   • Click 'Next'; SLAC's contract number will be auto-filled.
   • Complete the required fields. After submission, you will receive an OSTI ID number for your manuscript.
3. Complete the PCard Advance Approval (AA) Form:
   • Include the OSTI ID number on the form.
   • Send the completed form to PCard@slac.stanford.edu before making the payment.

Note: SLAC admins can assist by submitting accepted manuscripts on behalf of scientific staff using the submission interface.
